May someone provide an explanation and examples as to how to use точно as opposed to точнее? I always see "Actually, I..." as "точнее, я..." but now I'm not so sure that's right. Thanks!

From time to time people ask about differences in word usage in different Russian cities: do we have different dialects, accents, word usage etc. I found an interesting link to a Russian-Russian dictionary (you can view it as a normal HTML or download as a Lingvo dictionary) that covers the word usage differences, mainly for Moscow and St.Petersburg, but there are other cities too.
