What is the equivalent of "I miss..." in Russian, of someone/thing that is of sentimental value to you, but whom/which you haven't seen or had in a while? I asked my Russian friend, who's been living in Canada for almost ten years, and all she could think of at the time was "Мне не хватит..."

Pardon me is this is off topic (this is the best community to ask), but who in here lives in the US, is in college, and is majoring in Slavic Languages and Literature? Or even better, if you've already finished college and majored in that... major. I just have some fears I wish to discuss and sort out. And ease.
