Hey, everyone:

This is something I've been considering doing for quite some time now: record a couple of Russian audiobooks, mostly for kids and for people wanting to learn Russian. I finally got around to actually recording some of it today, and I would like to know how you find it, particularly those who are advanced non-native speakers. Unfortunately, I have been concentrating too much on "for the kids" part, so I speek too fast in places, which I fully realize, and I'm going to slow down quite a bit. :) However, I would like to know if people find my diction, intonations and recording quality good enough for a project like this.

Here you can find the story, one of my favorites when I was a schoolboy, and my 5-minute test-run to go along with it.

Thanks in advance! :)

Hi. Does any one has a nice, not so common, easy to cook, tasty recipe? The Russian department is giving a meal to the rest of the linguistic department and every Russian student has to help with something. I get to help with the food. We are looking for recipes. Like cooking Russian for Dummies.

Thanks.

Random question for Russian and Spanish speakers:

How similar is нь to ñ? Are they similar, identical, completely different, etc? Are there any other noises that are similar between the two but not English (like both r's are rolled for example, at least some of the time in spanish).
