Mishka Candies

I recently had dinner at my girlfriend's home, and they offered me some "traditional" Russian candies for dessert. The funny thing is, they had two types of Mishka candies (with the bear). One is made in New York, and the other is imported from Russia. I took the wrappers home and thought I would scan them to post on this community.

Is an unstressed о at the end of a word (as in спасибо, хорошо) pronounced like an a?
I heard that words like говорить are really ga-va-REET'... but is it spa-SEE-bo or spa-SEE-ba?
