A Russian on America

In Russia, I did a research project about Russian views on the United States. I interviewed 25 Russian who had lived, worked, or studies in the US for some time and asked them for their results. Below, I have posted two of my favorite questionairres translated from the Russian (I can dig the originals up.. They'fre on a disk somewhere) I thought that considering the comments that were being posted on a recent entry, it would be of more than passing interest to people.

Are шь and щ the same? Also, is this analogy correct:

щ : ш :: тщ : ч

Does the sound "тщ" (presumably as in Mandarin q) exist?
