Transportation phrases

Hi everyone,

So can someone give me a quick list of words to say on transport. For example, how do I tell the person next to me that I want to get off next---I think I have heard на следующая and also на следующой. I also think I have heard сходите? Are any of these correct?

My main problem is that when I am on a marshrutka, I never get off at the right stop because it's so packed and I can't get through. I need to say something to the effect of--move out of my way and let me out!! lol

The most standard phrase is: "Вы выходите на следующей?" ("Are you going to come out at the next stop?") This implies that if he/she does not, he/she is asked to let you pass.

simply stand up in advance, not when the minibus stops. it's more important to inform the driver that you're getting off - i generally try to take a seat in the front of the minibus to make sure i'm heard :D when ppl hear you inform the driver they'll make way/let you pass.

one of the reasons why marshrutkas are faster is that they don't stop at every stop (some routes are, as someone described at a forum, укаждостолбные=)), so you have to tell the driver, otherwise nobody will know you're getting off:D

when it looks like you're going to stay in because you cannot get out, try saying "Подождите пожалуйста!" or "Еще не все вышли" or "Я тут тоже выхожу" or "Мне тоже еще надо выйти" quite LOUD so that the driver (and others) hear you. make sure they hear you saying something!

"Я на следующей выхожу, а вы?"
"Давайте с вами местами поменяемся, я выхожу!"
(the last one is 'let's change places' - so that it is easier to get out - common practice btw) :)

this. and if the problem is just someone standing in your way and not realizing you need to pass, simply say "можно?" or "можно пройти?" or similar

(to the driver) Остановите у магазина - на остановке - на светофоре - за перекрестком...
Передайте пожалуйста (passing the fare) За два билета, за один билет.
(To the driver) Скажите/предупредите пожалуйста, когда будет площадь Цезаря Куникова.

well I think I've heard them many times, at least in the Moscow Metro :) it's like, if you have yet some time before it's your stop, people may start kinda 'discussing' the process of better 'getting out'
:) and this is when they may sound quite polite, not just 'MAKE WAY!' sort of thing :)

I also heard once some person asking me to move my bag somewhere saying something like "примите сумку!" that sounded quite funny and ridiculous in my opinion)

Also, sometimes, if there are two doors in the marshrutka, the driver doesn't open the back one. If you're standing in front of it, getting ready to get off, but it remains closed at the stop, you have to shout loud "откройте заднюю дверь, пожалуйста!", or, which is shorter, just "заднюю откройте!". The second variant is a bit impolite, but quite acceptable, especially if you're out of time )
