I apologize if this question is not relevant to the community, but does anyone know where I might download the music (theme) from the 1927 Soviet film "Tret'ya Meshchanskaya", directed by Abram Room? I really liked it and would like to listen to it more... Thanks!

An interesting question indeed. It would be really cool to find out what music theme you mean, as "Третья Мещанская" is, basically, a silent movie.

I have seen it during my Film History classes at the university, some 25 years ago, and it was as silent as a fish. One of students played along on a very out-of-tune piano which happened to be in the room, just to keep the authentic 1920s silent movie vibe.

As of recent releases, I have a 2003 Russian DVD release where the movie is coupled with another 1927 silent film, "Девушка с коробкой"; the soundtrack is just standard 1920s-styled piano playing (though the piano is in tune, surprisingly.) Maybe Western releases have different soundtracks; this I have no means to know.
