I would like to know if anyone knows of any learning movies or shows for toddlers that are in Russian? I want DVDs that teach the alphabet, numbers, colors, etc.  I have already purchased 2 DVDs but my daughter doesn't show much of an interest because they are not cartoons. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I'm going to have to second "Улица Сезам." They had us watch that in our first semester Russian Class!

It's very sad that the 90% of material on these sites is translated. Disney and stuff.

All-Russian, these puppets are an evening-time TV must for the Russian children since the late 60s.

Also, try Смешарики, that's a nice all-Russian brand based on a good animated series. They have several learning books.

My husband and I just got a handful of board books for our son there. I'd call and get advice, if the other links here don't work for you.

I second this. Kids World is excellent. They have tons of resources for learning Russian and tons of Russian-language kids DVDs, books, coloring books, etc.

In fact, they're currently clearancing out all their VHS tapes for $2.00 each, so if you can get down there, and you have a VCR, you're in luck.
