Russian textbooks

Dear friends, my husband is an indian speaking english, hindi and bengali fluently. I would like to download some textbooks for beginners so that he could learn russian. But i cannot find anything in net. I need a book where everything is explained in english. I don't need those where the explanation of grammar rules etc is in russian only. Please give me some links. I would appreciate if you give me some direct links for downloading (not like "try to search at this site or look at that site or ask here and there"). Thank you.

I listened to Michel Thomas Spanish and I would say it's a pretty good way to start to learn a foreign language from scratch. You should do nothing else but listening.

Please consider "English Grammar for Students of Russian" as it is an excellent beginning textbook for explaining Russian grammar rules in English...
