Can someone elaborate on the slang word "париться" and all of the ways it's used? Maybe give some examples? Thanks!

Do you remember "Don't worry, be happy"? That's exactly the thing. "Не парься, будь счастлив".
So. "He botherd me" = "Он меня запарил"
"Запарка" — some sort of troubles with amount of time or deeds. (Deadline will come in 10 minutes, but we have to do some more tests, aaargh!)

'Париться' means 'to worry, to think about a problem again and again'.
Не парься! - Don't worry, don't be bothered!
Он парится по пустякам/из-за ерунды - He worries about just nothing.

That's almost about it, the right direction.
"Пар" means "vapour". Slang "париться" suggests the process of someone's perspiration, of sweating over some worries, discomfort.

Non-slang, general "париться" has to do with the sauna-like procedures. In russian "баня" one has to endure hot vapour atmosphere treatment, for example.

Just to add to what the previous comments correctly said about "париться": there's a related word "запарить" (used only in the perfective), which means to annoy, to tire out, to drive someone crazy by bothering them. "Запариться" means to have had enough, to be sick of something. "Я запарился уже с этой грёбаной домашней работой!" - "I'm sick and tired of this frigging homework!"!

Не парься! - Ne p'ar'sya! (soft 'r', the first stressed syllable).
Он парится по пустякам/из-за ерунды - On p'aritsya po pustyak'am/iz-za erund'y.
