Hi!
I think you should start at first!
If your Russian is great, it wouldn't a big problem, just try! For example, I propose you to write this post in Russian
Good luck!

PS - what does it mean: "Um I kinda"? )))))))))))))))

i guess, reading is an effective way of learning how to write. it's about text2text, not text2voice or vice versa =) you just should mention both orthography and punctuation when you read. lots of modern books, newspapers and magazines are somewhat ignorant of such "insignificant" matter as grammatical correctness though. and get yourself a bunch of pen pals ;) practice!
btw, for the first time, pronounce each word you write. it will help you to memorize the spelling.
best regards

There is a textbook called "Russian for Russians" by Olga Kagan. It's oriented toward Russian heritage speakers raised in a non-Russian speaking communities (US in particular). I believe there's also a web support for the book.

First, set a Cyrillic keyboard layout or start to use any service, which converts translit into Cyrillic ;)

Hi,
It seems to me your Russian is good. If you wish I can help you. If so, please write your text whatever you like in Russian (but in Roman letters first). Thank you.

http://translit.ru/ — write your text in translit into textform and push “все в русский”. There is also a virtual Russian keyboard.

_this_ program — no, but on your computer you can use similar programm — Punto Switcher (if you have Windows), or X Neural Switcher (if you have Linux-based system), or RuSwitcher (if you have Mac OS X). Google it for downloading :)
