Hello again ...

I'm looking for short and simple Russian language podcasts that I can download for listening (and learning).  Any suggestions?

You can subscribe to some Russian news segments from NTV. I searched for "Russian" in the iTunes store and found a bunch of different things.

Most of the other stuff I've found on itunes is of the "Russian in a minute" variety mentioned above, though. I would also like to know some good podcasts.

There's a huge compendium of podcasts, catalogically organized into categories and topics - http://www.rpod.ru -- and a smaller terminal, http://podfm.ru. Most of their stuff is homemade "citizen podcasting," though - bad pronounciation, unclear speech, a lot of garbage talk, obscenities and general lack of sense. Sometimes you find real gems there, though. Sorry I have to leave the try-and-trial process to you, as I am not an active listener.

http://tasteofrussian.com/ 10 - 20 minutes. Upper easy - lower intermediate. Story is told, then the presenter goes through it again, step by step, explaining all words - in Russian.

http://www.dw-world.de/dw/0,,9580,00.html - about 15 minutes. Not very easy, nor specifically for learning, but a lot of subjects to choose from. I like the Читальный зал and Наука и техника programmes.
