Nov. 7th, 2008 09:10 pmCould you recommend some very common and useful expressions in Russian? Unfortunately, I've never learned very many idioms and expressions and would like to learn more. For instance, things like:

Date: 2008-11-08 03:15 am (UTC)Also, lots of what you'd call "expressions" are not really sayings, but rather quotes - from movies, speeches of politicians, etc. See, for example, quotes from "12 chairs": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GtyGZqcvSSg . I guess with time they do become sayings.
