Hi there,

I have a question about the verbs "to confess" (признаваться и признаться) If you use the verbs + в + the prepositional case, what exactly are you saying in English? Are you confessing to something?

He confessed to lying - Он признался во лжи.

One of those cases when verbs require different prepositions in Russian and English which is a two-way bummer)))

to wait for sb - ждать кого-то
to revenge on sb - отомстить кому-либо
to interfere with sth - вмешиваться во что-либо
to join sb/sth - присоединиться к кому-либо/чему-либо
etc...

Most verbs do, so there is nothing special here.
