Academic focus
Jun. 28th, 2008 11:26 pmHow would you say "academic focus" in Russian? I do not mean 'major' or specialization (специальность)-- I mean, for instance, that I am studying Russian culture, and my focus is Russian literature of the Silver Century. How would I say 'focus' in this context?

Other option that comes to mind is:
"С особым вниманием к …".
Both of these imply that you aren't neglecting the things out of focus, but more of your efforts are directed to the particular part of something big and/or complex.
