How do you say, please

I am receiving CONFLICTING INFORMATION from St Petersburg.

(What I mean is that one person tells me one thing, and others tell me something else)

Я получаю (до меня доходит) противоречивую (ая) информацию (ия) из Санкт-Петербурга.

I think противоречивый/противоречивость in this case.

This always happened to me in Saint Petersburg, too. I'd ask people where an internet cafe was, and they'd make something up. I think once we got about five sets of wrong directions before we ended up just randomly walking around and found it ourselves.
