Writing a note

Can someone help me with this quick thank you note? To put it in context, this is to two of my (American) Russian professors who took a friend and I out to dinner after a school trip to see a Russian film. I had expected we would pay for our own dinners, and I really want to thank them :)

Уважаемые ____ и _____,
Огромная спасиба за ужина в субботу! (How would I say, "We had a wonderful time"?), и мы очень благодарные.(< good way to say "we are grateful"? or no?)

ОгромноЕ спасибО за УЖИН в субботу! (Also you can say "за субботний ужин") Мы прекрасно провели время (We had a wonderful time) и очень (вам) благодарны.

or you can say "Мы прекрасно провели время и очень вам признательны"

'Огромное спасибо за ужин в субботу!' not 'Огромная спасиба за ужина в субботу!'

'We had a wonderful time' can be translated as 'Было здорово' or 'Нам очень понравилось'

'мы очень благодарные' is not quite right. 'мы очень благодарны' is correct.

'Искренны' - you should say 'Искренне'
