Past Passive Participles

Hey there everyone,

Can anyone explain to me when to use the full and short forms of past passive participles.  I am super confused!  I know how to form them, I just don't know when to use them?

Well, I'm not a specialist in the Russian grammar, but my feelings tell me that the short form can be the predicate in a sentence, for example "Мое сердце разбито" or "Этот стул занят" and you can not use the full form here.The full form is used in a noun frase, like "Разбитое сердце не вылечишь лекарствами" (sorry for the example :)

Well, I don't think anyone can think of the constant rule, maybe linguists. But here is some sort of a rule: when you use 'am/is/are' in English, it's a short form in Russian, when you don't, it's a full one. In most cases this could work.

I think, that examples can help you:
Стол сделан из дерева.
Яйца сварены вкрутую.
Сосиски заморожены на заводе.
Работа проверена учителем.
Past passive participles in short form are used, when you want to show past passive participles like a action, "verb", сказуемое.
