Russian Speakers in Kyrgyzstan?

So I am planning a trip to study intensive Russian abroad in Kyrgyzstan later this year. Anyone in this community from Krygyzstan? I am looking for someone to brush up on some Russian and maybe help answer some questions regarding the country.

Have you visited there or are you just slamming it to slam it? I quite liked lake Issyk-Kul. The mountains are great, too.

No doubts about beautiful nature. I'm not sure absolutely about the level of education you're going to get there.

We few reasons..

A) I've studied in Moscow during my undergrad. It was very nice, I liked it a lot and would like to live in Moscow or St. P's again at some point. However, I think that having a broader regional experience in the former Soviet Union would be more useful professionally.

B) I am applying strategically - the application process to get the fellowship for Russia is impacted and Central Asia is less so.

C) I study democracy and democratizations. While there is little of that taking place in Kyrgyzstan, I'd argue there's even less in Russia currently - or at least the likely prospect of it.
