Hi, I just have two really quick questions. Is "прошлый зимой" the correct translation for "last winter"? And how would you translate "I will read his letter"? Thanks :)

"прошлОй зимой" is the correct translation for "last winter"

"i will read his letter" - "я прочитаю его письмо" or "я буду читать его письмо"

I think that "I will read his letter" should not be translated as "Я буду читать его письмо", as it sounds more like the english "I will be reading his letter".

"last winter" - "прошлой зимой"
"I will read his letter" - " Я прочту его письмо" or "Я буду читать его письмо"

They already answered the question, but just a note that the expression "last winter" in is in the Instrumental. зимой is usually taught early on in Russian one, but the instrumental case is usually last, so most can't recognize that the expression is instrumental (and match the adjectives to it) until way later.

Good luck!
