Does anyone know where I might find a good quality audio book of the 7th harry potter book in Russian? (If it's already been translated), and the text to go with it?

The Russian official translation of HP7 (well, of the whole HP series) is so bad, that it's not worth it, in my opinion. All fans here in Russia tried to read the original if their knowledge of English was sufficient to do it.

If you want to learn Russian this way, it's better to look for some old famous classics, like Conan Doyle, or Dickens, or Tolkien, etc. that was translated years before. There are also really brilliant translations of Bradbury, Twain, O'Henry, Salinger (The Catcher In The Rie is named "Над пропастью во ржи" and it's one of the best translations I've ever seen)...

A little remark.
I think that nowadays you should give the names of the translators you deem worth reading when saying something of the kind. There exist for example two translations of C.S. Lewis's Chronicles of Narnia and while the first one, under the editorship of Natalia Trauberg is very much advisable the second goes straight to the bin.

You're absolutely right, of course.

Conan Doyle's works, though, were mostly translated only once and just reprinted ever since, so there are really no variants, except one or two rare stories, maybe.

The same goes for Bradbury, O'Henry and more or less for Twain, though in the latter case I prefer the translations by Нина Дарузес, and not by Корней Чуковский.

There are two most known translations of the "Lord Of The Rings", one by Муравьев and Кистяковский, the other by Григорьева and Грушецкий.

As for Salinger, "Над пропастью во ржи" was translated by Райт-Ковалева.

The best translations of Dickens's novels were also made by Дарузес, in 1970-s, NOT by Ланн & Кривцова in 1930-s.

You can trust ANY books, translated into Russian or edited by Нина Дарузес, Нора Галь, Владимир Муравьев, Наталья Трауберг, Наталья Волжина, Елена Калашникова.
