 Hello! I need your help again with a Live Journal post. As before, the language is meant to be close to spoken language. Some of the expressions might not be very Russian, but then it is not suppose to be as if a Russian has written it, it is suppose to be me talking, but I want it to be correct and understandble.

Какое бы мне желание загадать на Hовый год? Папа три рождественских дня меня мучил, говорит, мне замуж пора. Или хотя бы забеременеть, без мужа (вот у меня какой папа прогрессивный!). Но это же банально. Помoгите мне придумать что-нибудь поинтересней!

The way I read it now (after a bit of correction, I suppose) I cannot tell you from a native.

Except, probably, two small details:
1. A native (at least most of, I think) would have put “бы” after “какой” in the first sentence, and
2. At least two exclamation signs (before parentheses close and at the very end), but that's just stupid national attraction to endless exclamation signs.

Also, “Новый год” as a holiday starts from capital letter.

of course I had chosen the wrong aspect in one place, and I had written chto-to, instead of cht-nibud'... So toonigth I will find a grammar book with execises on that. It is really hard to know what aspect to use in infinitiv after another verb. like after помочь/помогать, начать/начинать что-то делать/сделать

1. No. Сделать is perfective by definition, so you cannot start to do something which is already done :)
2. Yes, no problem. Он помог мне начать готовиться :) (he helped me to start preparing myself [to smth]. Perfectly legitimate.

I have a great grammar book at home, I'll do some exercises tonight. I forgot the name, but I will post that tonight, because it's really fantastic. That book, this community and my string of buddist prayers beeds (when I make a misstake i repeat the correct 108 times, or if I find a new word, I make 108 sentences with it...) are my best learning-Russian-tools!

I think, it's better read as

Папа мучил меня три рождественских дня, говорил мне замуж пора.

I reverse words order - it's used to write like this. Also, I change the tense of "говорит" - common english tense practices is not usual in Russian. And, I wonder about last comma.

If I were you I wouldn't say "три рождественских дня", because I can hardly understand the meaning of this construction being a native speaker ;) I would say "три дня до/после (католического/лютеранского/протестантского) Рождества" (variant depends on the meaning you would like to express) because we ... humm ... celebrate Xmas on January 7.
and your grammar is perfect ;)
