Could you help me with the aspects in those sentences? It is so hard for me to know whether it shold be perfect aspect because it is an isolated example, och whether it should be imperfect because I actually mean that it has happened repeatadly. And in the second sentence, maybe i should use imperfect present instead of perfect past?

I love russian verbs, they are like men - when you think that you've figured them out...

Eсли бы вы знали, как мне приятно, когда я узнаю человека, а меня нет. Значит, я на него не произвела плохого впечатления, раз меня cмог забыть... наверное, мне надо работать над самооценкой.... :-)

oh, yes, that is true, it is all in the stress in the present, I hate tha verb.... i thought i sounded wierd... now when i read it it sounds better!

Personally I would change the word order; if I wrote it I'd make up the phrase like this:

Знали бы вы, как мне приятно, когда я узнаю человека, а он меня нет. Раз он смог меня забыть, значит я не произвела на него плохого впечатления. Мне стоит поработать над самооценкой, да?:)

Если бы вы знали = знали бы вы (more informal, I believe)
You can repeat the verb узнавать, of course, for the sake of the grammar, but stylistically you'd better omit it.

The last sentence is perfect in your version, it's simply a matter of individual preferences.
But in general it's all right as it is.

"Мне стоит поработать" gives it a better sound, it kind of makes it sound more humoristic, less serious in this context yes?

Not necessarily; it's just a more frequently used construction. You managed to render the irony anyway.

or if you really want to be gender-neutral: «а меня не узнают»

узнавать: узнаЮ, узнаёшь, узнаёт, узнаём, узнаёте, узнаЮт
узнать: узнАю, узнАешь, etc.
(strEssed sYllables)

над самооценкой is better; самоуверенность (as opposed to уверенность в себе) is negative, more "cheek" than "confidence"

You can use "а он меня - нет".

"Значит, я на того человека не произвела плохого впечатления, раз меня cмог забыть"

lexically and grammatically correct, but sounds odd. No need to repeat word "человек" when it is not absolutely necessary. You can use pronouns instead. "Значит, я на него не произвела плохого впечатления, раз он смог меня забыть". (Also меня and смог should be swapped)
