..And how would you answer, "I am from..."?

Date: 2007-09-12 12:36 am (UTC)But if you want to sound more natural and informal, the question should go as Вы откуда? (if you speak with someone who you don't know well or with some older person) or Ты откуда? (that's for someone who you know reasonably well or for the person of the same age).
You do not need to say "родом". It's outdated :))))

But don`t use this phrases in official speaking. ;)
