Я крут!
Or, in less censored manner, Я невьебенно крут!

Excellent, but I'd better warn: if someone doesn't know similar phrase about A.S. Pushkin, they can translate "сукин сын" literally ("a dog's son", "a puppy"), or, even worse, "a son of bitch".

Yes, "сукин сын" = "son of a bitch", but "ай да сукин сын!" is closer to "son of a gun!" :)
I would not use it if I not 100% sure.

When Pushkin has written Boris Godunov's monologue (where 'мальчики кровавые в глазах'), he liked it so much that he jumped and shouted 'Ай да Пушкин! Ай да сукин сын!'

Well, that's basically the same thing as with "shit" and "THE shit". "Сукин сын" is your run-of-the-mill sonuvabich, but "ай да сукин сын" is a bragging word.

"I am awesome" == "Я крут"
"I rule" == "Я жгу" or even "Я рулЮ" (lit.: "I'm driving" or "I'm at the wheel" - it even sounds similarly due to Latin roots of most European languages)

Other possible phrases:
"Я крУче навОзной кУчи" (lit.: "I'm more rough than a heap of shit") - funny answer to a praise.
"Я неебАтельски крут" (obscene; lit.: "I'm imfuckingpossibly rough") - funny answer when you are really rough.
"Я крУче варЁных яИц" (lit.: "I'm more rough than boiled eggs"; an egg, being boiled while its internals become firm, is called "свАренное вкрутУю").

Do the capital letters act as stress marks? If so, you are amazing. <3 I have a tough time with stresses.

Yes, I use them to mark stress position.

Less colloquial and/or slangy would be "Я велик!" or "Я высок!" -- and these phrases would be certainly seen as ironic.

Я стар... Я суперстар! :)
Derived from English. Can be used to indicate either being old or being a superstar or both. Both in a joking form.

Я круче Ленинских гор. :)

I ought to notice that it's from a joke about Brezhnev:

- Многие говорят мне, что я стар! Да, я стар! Я - супер-стар (super-star)!
