I am sorry if it's a silly question:
Serdetjnyj privet
- is it a good way to end a letter to a friend?
Any other ways to finish a letter?
Spasibo!

Большой привет (XXXX)/bol'soy privet (the name) would sound more common.

Try to use "Всего хорошего", "Удачи", "С любовью" (Best regards, Good luck, With love, etc.) to complete your letter.
"Сердечный привет" looks a bit clumsy as ending note and I've never met this one before. Forms with "Привет" usually get used as introductory greeting.

It sounds a bit unusual but fine.

Except that if you write in Russian, it has to appear in Cyrillics, and there is no TJ in the word сердечный :)

It is usually get used as introductory greeting. But if expand to "Переда(вай)/(ю) всем сердечный привет" it will be more common to complete your letter.

Some people are used to say "С приветом, имя!" (S privetom, autor's name).
There is some kind of pun in this frase, because "S privetom" means also "madman", and it looks a little bit funny :)

Also "с приветом, имярек!" addresses "имярек". One should write "С приветом! Имярек!" or "С приветом - имярек!".

it's a bit outdated and adds quite a specific nuance: it sounds like a letter from early 1900
