Очень советую прочитать пару книжек, а именно Понедельник начинается в субботу (братья Стругацкие) и Шлем ужаса (Виктор Пелевин). Так вы сможете проверить себя :) Удачи!

Date: 2007-05-17 03:27 pm (UTC)Fairytales, as well as other types of children´s literature, are EXTREMELY difficult for non-native speakers (if you take an unabridged version, I mean). It´s the last thing I´d advise a Russian learner to choose to read.
BTW the post says the books are for those who already have the necessary command of Russian.

Date: 2007-05-18 02:49 am (UTC)its the same as to say Never watch Lynch films because you wont understand.
anyone reading any book will have different idea behind the plot.
and in case of Strugatskie the main thing is a very nice example of the russian language.
almost all A.B. Strugatski's books are free for download here http://www.rusf.ru/abs/books.htm
i would You recommend these ABS books aswell:
Пикник на обочине
Хищные вещи века
Необитаемый остров
Гадкие лебеди
Далекая радуга
Улитка на склоне
Град обреченный
