hi all, привет!

I've been looking for a podcast in russian (or even a radio station, perhaps) for me to get used to the sounds of it (preferrably in a slow, paused russian :) , considering I'm a complete beginner). does anyone know of something like this?

Спасибо!

here I put some direct link to my favorite russian radio station's web streaming.

Мегаполис-89.5 MGPS.FM (http://fm-megapolis.nightparty.ru:8000/megapolis-128k.m3u)

Радио Монте-Карло (http://217.16.18.76/MonteCarlo-22K)

Радио MAXIMUM (http://www.radio.comcor-tv.ru/playlist/radio.m3u?station=maximum&stream=128)

My personal favorite is Monte-Carlo. Maximum features Rock music and Megalopolis is for the dance lovers, by the way.

enjoy ;)

I share a podcast series with two other authors. The Russian there is not that simple, but not too badly spoken. We produce two or three episodes a week. The podcast is on jazz/improv music, though. If it does not scare the socks off you, here's (http://jazzru.rpod.ru/) the Web site, and here's (http://jazzru.rpod.ru/rss.xml) the iTunes subscription.

Oh, I forgot to mention that I have written scripts for my personal episodes (which is some 40 per cent of all series,) so if you need it in written form, in order to try to trace the spoken version along the script, just tell me which episode ##s you need, and I can either upload them to my web site, or e-mail them to you.

there is http://rpod.ru

but, there are too much podcasts.
i'd recommend such things as

http://unknown.rpod.ru/ - very funny show, with professional voices
http://strelnikov.rpod.ru/ - the Father of Russian Podcasting, and the Man with fantastic voice

and my own (sorry :))
http://jenya-japan-journal.rpod.ru/ - I'm telling about my live in Japan
"Двое в Токио" may be a bit harder to understand, because there are at least two people to speak.

(sorry for my poor english)

Let me introduce myself...

UCLA's Russian department has a couple of good ones:

http://www.international.ucla.edu/languages/technology/podcasts/

The business one is all business vocabulary, but she's really good about repeating herself and emaphasizing which cases to use, etc.

You can also try CITY FM on-line
http://www.city-fm.ru
It's without music, but not so politically oriented as Эхо Москвы, mostly programs about Moscow city life, general topics etc.
