I have a question about причастия (sorry I can't think of the english word for it, and I know I should have conjugated that to use it in the sentence...).

When you have a reflexive verb, how do you add the reflexive ending? I'm reviewing for my final exam and seem to have lost that class' notes.

e.g.

люди которие улыбаются

would that become

1) улыбающиесь
2) улыбающиеся

It's a participle. Participle and verbal adjective(Причастие и отглагольное прилагательное) are different grammatical termins in Russian.

the English equivalent for причастие would be "the participle"

the correct variant is 2. the -ся suffix is used when the infinitive ends on this suffix.
