Dec. 11th, 2006 02:32 pmI thought this may be of interest to some members of the community.
Every semester, the Russian Club at my university holds a potluck dinner. We're encouraged to cook traditional Russian dishes for the event. I did not make a traditional dish, but I thought I would share my creation with everyone. Photos, and rough Russian translation of what I tried to say in this paragraph... under the cut (please correct my grammar if I say things wrong!!)

(I have not practiced cursive in a while, and when I was writing "Рождеством", I made the м into a т by accident.)
Каждый семестр, студенты русского языка в моем университете имеют ужин. Мы готовим традиционные блюда. В этом году, я хотела готовить с пряником. Это было красиво И вкусно.

Каждый семестр (without comma) студенты c курса русского языка моего университета устраивают (not имеют) праздничный ужин.
The second sentence is absolutely correct :)

And the last one is ok too :)

Date: 2006-12-11 08:02 pm (UTC)I get confused with commas, because I know where they go in English, so I assume I should put them there in Russian. I am silly. And thank you for the other grammar and vocabulary corrections.
