Oct. 4th, 2006 11:42 pmallo,
I've just spent a good while trying to figure out how to say "photo developer" - as in someone/something that processes your rolls of film into photos. I actually want to say a 'one hour photo' - but I don't know what you'd call that in russian, if you'd call that anything. but I've thrown the context around a bit, and need "photo developer" instead.
thanks, if you can help me. :)

Date: 2006-10-05 07:46 am (UTC)if you are talking about a solution you put your film into to develop it is "проявитель" or you can use a photo slang word "девеллопер"
if you are talking about someone who develops it - it is usually "лаборант" (a member of laboratory staff), or "проявщик" (really uncommon, i am not sure it is not afruit of my own fantasy), or "сотрудник лаборатории" (neutral - means anyone who is workingin a lab)
if you are talking about a place where you can develop a film or print your photos, it is "минилаб", "экспресс фото", "фотоэкспресс", "лаборатория", "фото за час"
