I've seen & heard some words lately for which I can't find the meanings. The first is «чё», which is just plain weird-looking. The second is «лажаю», which seems to be a verb. And, conveniently enough, they both occur in one line of a song («Пародия на проект», a really strange song stuck on at the end of Tanya Bulanova's album «Мой сон»). The line: «Чё то я лажаю капельку». Also, I've seen «чё» in people's LJ entries too. And now that I think about it, what does the (probably unrelated) word «че» mean?

EDIT: (For the sake of saving time & being lazy) Thanks, everyone!

Чё is just a misspelling of что. Since ё is often replaced with e in writing, че should be the same unless people were referring to Che Gevara and just forgot to spell him with a capital letter :-)

The same. Means "Может, я что[-нибудь] не то говорю"

It is nearly the same "Может я что-то не то говорю ..." (Maybe I'm saying something wrong ...).

* "Чё" makes sentence a bit comical.

Some people deliberately misspell words or use slang to emphasize their own, or their correspondent illiteracy or local accent.

It's like saying "Dubya" instead of W.

the first meaning of "лажать" is "to sing (or to play) out of tune". It's a musicians' slang.
