Good homes sought for the following Russian books

1 x Oxford Russian Dictionary (bought for £35, will sell for £20 + postage) (has a bit of writing on it, but nothing that will make it impossible to use)

1 x Comprehensive Russian Grammar - Terry Wade (bought for £25, will sell for £15 + postage) (again, has a couple of notes in it, but nothing that will make it impossible to use.)

1 x Book One Nahchala (Начало) Lubensky et al. Excercise book and CD. (perfect for those going to study Ab Initio Russian... Especially at the University of Manchester, as that's the book specified in the course directory). (Bought for £30, will sell for £20 including postage)

1 x 501 Russian verbs. Bought for £10, will sell for (£5 incl. postage).

They're suited to intermediate/advanced learners of Russian (with the exception of Nachala) and are on most of the British university reading lists for the subject. (Possibly the same abroad, I'm obviously not sure).

Whilst I'd prefer to send the books within the UK, I will consider posting to Europe/US/wherever, so long as the buyer is prepared to pay the postage... as they're very heavy books.

Before anyone has a go and tells me to use eBay, I'd sooner the books be offered to serious linguists first, eBay/Amazon market place second.

The dictionary - is that the massive hardcover (I have a consise one, might be worth "updating")?

Grammar sound good, don't have one. Course is definitely interesting as well. Well, and while I'm at it, I guess I can take the verbs as well.

Any idea about how much postage could be to Kent?

It will be complete overkill for a *long* time, but yes. :)

Cool. You're learning German? (I am, German, that is). :) And find out what the whole packet is like. It's not urgent or anything. :)

Ughhh I was so pissed my school wouldn't buy back my Начало book. Maybe I'll try on here too someday.

Uhm. Why can't you post these at Ebay/Amazon, again? It's actually appropriate to do so there...Oh, you are doing the "linguists" a favor! I think your books are safe on either of those sites. After all, I don't know of many people who would invest the kind of money you are asking just to purchase a good Oxford door-stop or paper-weight? And I don't think that the Nazis have quite made the Internet their preferred source of books to burn either...

Wait. You clutter up this community's page with a completely self-serving advertisement (and don't even bother with a to boot) and I'm the "arsehole" (to use your lovely language)?!?!?! Nice.

Wait. You clutter up this page with a completely trollish flame (and don't even bother with proofreading it to boot). Nice.

Thanks again for more name-calling. I suppose it's too much to expect you to have some basic maturity. The "petty Troll" requests that in the future, you dispense with the charade of "Serving the Community" and shell out that exorbitant sum of 50 pence or whatever it costs to list your books on Ebay. I bid you good evening.
