One quick question- why is it that I constantly see a russian phrase/sentence with )) at the end? I have noooo clue why I see it so often, and I've wondered about it for awhile. What does it mean?

And as of right now, I'm real frusterated with Russian. Gahh, whenever I see even a few sentences put together it looks so.. intimidating. = /

Hello, if I'm being a little facetious I might end my sentence thus :))) to let you know I'm smiling. It's a polite way to show i'm friendly. :))
If something's really funny, ))))))))))))))))))))))) If I'm sorry, (((((

Often I'll see people do this =)) or this :-) Just little smilies.

They blew my mind at first, because they looked like somebody smiling with multiple chins, but now I can't stop making them >:-))))))

Also, these smiles (without eyes) are named as Cheshirskiy cat's smiles, or just Cheshirskiy smiles. Cheshirskiy cat is from Alice In Wonderland, the can without eyes, nose, just smile..

ok, got it
but as far as I understand for each closing bracket must be the opening one but in smiles there are not opening brackets =) he he =) from this conclusion: smiles are not a valid LISP program :D
