I need help translating (well, just reading, really) the following sentence:

Следует однако отметить, что на последних допросах, под давлением улик, Ягода все же вынужден выл признать, что о связь с немцами и подготовке терактов некоторыми участниками заговора он был осведомлен.

And before anyone wonders about its strange content, it's from an NKVD interrogation file which I have to read for an essay.

Quite crude imitation of English judicial style that I could conjure on the spot:

"It's neccessary to note, however, that in the course of last interrogations, under the weight of the evidences, Yagoda had do admit that he was in the knowledge about German connections and terrorist act preparations of certain plot members."

That's very interesting because in the sentence before, he says something like "after numerous lengthy interrogations, he still refuses to admit his anti-Soviet and traitorous activities, as well as his full participation in the conspiracy."

Very morbid stuff, I have to say.
