learn_russianHello, I'm Nicole, I've been keeping up with this community since I started learning Russian in the fall of 2003, but I have fallen away from my studies during the last six months. I'm posting this small text in an attempt to dive back in. Thanks in advance for the corrections. I think I may start blogging regularly in Russian in my journal, so feel free to check in with me in the future.
Здравствуйте. Меня зовут Николь и мне 21 лет. Я студентка Ховардскего Университета находитеься в центре Вашингтона. Летом 2005-ого, Я была в Петербурге на 8 неделю. Мне очень понравилось Россия за много причин, который я могу рассказать больше в будущем време. Мой специалности Испанский язык, по этому я живу и учусь сейчас в Барселоне. Здесь- очень трудно изучить Русский язык. Стех пор как Новый Год, я занимаюсь русским языком каждый день. Я надеюсь что у меня достаточно дисциплины продолжать.
What I mean to say: Hello. I'm Nicole and I'm 21 years old. I'm a student of Howard Univ. in downtown Washington. Summer 05 I was in SPB for 8 weeks. I really liked Russia for many reasons which I can explain more in the future. My major is Spanish and that's why I live and study now in Barcelona. Here, It is very difficult to study Russian. Since New Years I've been studying Russian everyday. I hope I have enough discipline to continue.
Is there any difference in saying C + genitive/Cтех пор + gen/Стех пор как ? Or do they all mean "since"? Also any suggestions for rephrasing elementary sounding constructions would be fantastic.
