Well, we've had music posts recently and I suppose this is an extension of that. Apologies if it's been done before.

Can anyone reccommend any Russian radio stations that broadcast live on the internet? It would be best if they had more talk and less music - Russian music being dire in my opinion and also talk is more useful but anything is welcome really.

As an aside, does anyone know where you can get Russian language podcasts to listen to?

and if it's anti-Kremlin even better

Being anti-Kremlin isn't better,
But in this context it doesn't matter ;-)

Though I have to admit I listen to this station regularly and read their website, too.

BTW they have transcripts og their programs on their website which can help you figure out what you didn't understand. Watch out, however, because you can come across some horrible errors there, especially when it comes to names or not-so-widely-known words.

Otherwise, you'll better try http://www.echo.msk.ru/ or http://www.cultradio.ru/

Russian language podcasts - www.russianpodcasting.ru
There are very interesting podcasts Vasiliy's Weekend, Еженедельный подкаст от Umputun (US, Чикаго), Dolce Welle, Печальный ослик.
But Vasiliy's Weekend is the best :)
My podcast is Daily Geek Show (Warder) ;)

you can select a lot of different opitions, I always go to russian radio [left hand side button]. There are several different station options. I usually listen for music, so I'm not sure which ones are mainly talk.

May I recommend my own on-line radio-station - it's mostly talk, although there are some songs as well. Also it doesn't contain a word of slang, as it's a CHILDREN'S RADIO STATION - fairy tales, wonderful readings of russian childrens' classics by famous actors, etc...mostly ripped from a wealth of children's LP's that were manifactured in the USSR during the 1960-1990
