Is there a site somewhere--or perhaps readers here could offer suggestions--with phrases one would use in writing letters? Anything from chatty stuff like 'I hope you're well' to more formal things like 'enclosed are...'. Even though my Russian is decent, I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to more colloquial stuff like this. Thanks!

Don't know about a such site, but can help you if you provide more context.

not that i know of, though i believe this isn't a difficult thing to make... maybe we should make a list with these phrases here?

Opening lines:
Дорогой - Dear
Уважаемый - Dear, as 'respected'
Любезный - Dear, as 'kind'. There is a very famous opening line "Разлюбезная Екатерина Матвеевна"; it's from one really famous movie "Белое солнце пустыни".
----
Closing lines:
С уважением, - sincerly, literally 'with respect'
С наилучшими пожеланиями, - best wishes or "Всего наилучшего!"
Благодарю за внимание, - thanks for your attention
Искренне ваш, - yours truly
Удачи! - good luck (my personal favourite)

That's all I can think of right now... though i doubt this'll help much; on the other hand some might support me here with this idea. :)
