Native Russian Speaker
Oct. 25th, 2005 05:14 pmGood evening,
I have to read and record a dialogue for my Russian class, and I was wondering if any native Russian speaker could help me out by posting a phone post of the said dialogue so I can base myself on it for the prononciation.
It would be of great help!

Another thing: would anyone know of an online program that teaches how to type with the cyrillic keyboard?
Thanks a lot! ^_^

Date: 2005-10-25 09:45 pm (UTC)the only thing I'm not sure in is 'И жила в русском доме'
usually we don't say 'русский дом'. 'И жила в русском общежитии' sounds better.

Date: 2005-10-25 09:46 pm (UTC)I use phonetic keyboard layout, so most of the english letters correspond to similar-sounding russian letters, there are only 5-6 exceptions. The layout is taken from http://www.siber.com/sib/russify

Date: 2005-10-25 09:56 pm (UTC)You might also want to check out Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator at this address (http://www.microsoft.com/globaldev/tools/msklc.mspx) (assuming you're using a Windows-based computer). It will let you (as its name states) create your very own keyboard layout, placing Russian letters wherever you want them. It has worked perfectly for me (and made typing in Cyrillic a lot easier [and quicker!]).
Hope that helps!

Date: 2005-10-25 10:11 pm (UTC)Нет, это жизнь в Канаде сказывается. В английском Р почти всегда нечеткое.

Yes, I'm going to repeat like a little parrot... ^_^
