Oct. 23rd, 2005 09:31 pmWhat is the word for the verb "silence," like if I were to say "Silence!" or "Be quiet!" ? I keep getting the noun when I look it up on translating websites. Does anyone know of a site that has a anglo-russian dictionary that lists verbs, nouns, adj, ect? I used to use Rambler.ru but now it has changed.
Thanks!
Thanks!

You may want to use "Тихо!" or "Тишина!" but then again it depends on the situation.
The most polite way to say it is probably "Помолчи(те), пожалуйста, немного."

Тише! - the most tolerate, kind of begging.
