Could you please remind me of what you call the sounds animals make in Russian? I remember a few.

Bow-wow - гав гав
Cock-a-doodle-doo - кука-ру-ку
Meow
Ribbit
Moo
Neigh
Quack
Baa

Who makes ribbit?

By the way, russian ржать - for neigh - (I mean иго-го - neigh) - but
Лошадь ржет.
Собака лает.

So, ржать also means to laugh in Russian slang.

Ржать, уржаться.

Уржаться можно.

Мы так ржали.

OK, first we have to take into account that frogs in Russia produce a DIFFERENT sound. My American friends could not believe that these were frogs making those "kwaaah-kwaaah" until I showed them.
