Russian Animation

This might be off topic and highly inappropriate, but I'm not sure where else to ask...

I totally fell in love with the Russian Winnie the Pooh, and have also found a variety of things referring to Hedgehog in the Fog, as well as Chibarushka (I'm sure I butchered that spelling). I can't find those anywhere in the states. Does anyone know of a site or torrent where I might download them and other Russian cartoons?

I got Troye iz Prostokvashino off Soulseek. It's on CD now, but if you have AIM and are interested I can send it to you. Чебурашка you can find online (www.russiandvd.com has a lot of stuff) though anything you get online won't be cheap.

I've got the book “Вини-Пух И Всё-Всё-Всё” but I unfortunately don't read Russian well enough to understand it yet. :)

AFAIR, it's „все-все-все“ (заголовок упоминает обо всех, а не обо всём). In Russian, it's necessary to keep „ё“ vs. „е“ difference in these words: see section 10 (http://www.spravka.gramota.ru/pravila.html?gl_4.htm) of official Rules.

Interesting... I was curious how the russian Winnie-the-Pooh looks to those who are only familiar with the american rendering. At least you didn't think it was blasphemy :)

Oi... I -loved- it... It's something that has to be appreciated in its own right, really, because if you're spoiled by one version, you probably won't enjoy the other. When I first saw it, I admit I was like "whaaa-t? The owl's not a girl!" But then I tuned out the Disney in my brain XD The Russian Pooh bear is adorable, and I love the voices. Not as replacements, but as additions. It's definitely not blasphemy! It's wonderful. :D

By the way, the voice of Russian Винни Пух belongs to one of the greatest Russian actors, Evgeniy Leonov. So yes, it's of significant cultural value, I would say.

Are there any other requirements for downloading from that site? I can't seem to get the links to work. The downloads will start but after a few seconds it will say that there's some internal error and the d/l stops. ;( help!

The quantity of connection to a site should be 1. This new condition - was authorized 3 connections simultaneously earlier. Here (ttp://multiki.arjlover.net/) have all condition for download. And in the left column has information about access your connect for download...
You need copy the download link to buffer and close page in browser. Paste link to download manager and press _applay_ button. And don't foget about access time.

I have a friend who ordered a DVD of four Чебурашка episodes from Amazon.com. Also available at Amazon is an awesome collection called Masters of Russian Animation (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/6305837201/qid=1122153015/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i1_xgl74/002-4298557-3456818?v=glance&s=dvd&n=507846), that second volume of which has "Hedgehog and the Fog," as well as a couple other great cartoons by Yuri Norenstein. "The Island" is on there too, which is alleged to be one of the greatest pieces of world animation of all time.

So there's that.
