I'm looking for the name of a performer--on the album 'Nemnogo smerti, nemnogo lubvi'(?) track 3, it is apparently a cover of the Tom Waits song 'Christmas Card from a Hooker in Minneapolis' in Russian. Does anyone know the name of this performer or where the Russian lyrics might be found? Someone sent it to me, and the MP3 tags are mostly useless. Thanks.

I think this is it:

I couldn't find the lyrics, though.

....

This one? Apparently a Tom Waits cover.

what is a cover?

Is it a song re-sung by the other singer?

yes, exactly-a song redone by another performer. it can be used as a verb, too. Billy's Band covered Tom Waits' song.
