Looking for a statement

I was taught a phrase that means something along the lines of "Their face is asking for a brick", of course meaning they are ugly. I found where I wrote it down, but it isn't very legible. The only part I can make out is

...лицо просит кирпич.

"кирпича" seems to be the genitive. The genitive used as the accusative usually means "part of", "some": я хочу молока means I want some milk. Here it's not like that, seems like the genitive only adds to the expressiveness of the phrase.
