I'm from Estonia :)
but, oh well, I'm Russian. kinda know it quite well, so if any questions - will try to answer
(too many Russians here? does that mean people are not eager to learn Russian?)

People are eager to learn! (I'm one of them.) It's just that Russians seem to like to help us out. There are a lot of students of Russian here. =)

Russian student here! :) It's actually very nice to have more Russians than Russian students because that way when we post a silly question, it's answered quickly. It's also nice to have the students because that way we can have something explained in a way that we understand.

There are never too many Russians. They're the best people to party with. I'm a polish-american, and I'm more than eager to learn Russian.

I'm a little surprised there are so many Russians here, too, because they already speak it so why would they want to help people like me? This is not a complaint, though, it's a very good thing :)

Welcome!

I'm Russian, who is leaving in Ireland for a number of years....Just finished teaching one German and one Irish person Russian alphabet. A lot of fun!

I think a lot of non-Russians, like myself, only post when we have specific comments or questions and spend the rest of the time just browsing so it seems like we're not here. But I'm sure that there are a lot of non-Russians who monitor this community! It's a very helpful resource.

Your LJ info page says you're from Arbroath, Scotland... that's hilarious because my entire family is from Arbroath, although my parents moved to Canada back in the 1970s and I was raised here. I haven't been back since I was a kid but my parents go back relatively often.

I've never come across anyone on the internet who even knows where Arbroath is!

I know where Arbroath is! so now you have two people on the Internet who've heard of it :)
