Hello here. I have a question 'bout classification of Russian letters.

Should we treat Й as a vowel or as a consonant?

Well.... my name ends with this letter and it's definitely not pronounced "Nikola-ee".

It would be pronounced "Nikola-ee" in English. As in, the ee in "beet." Although, that would just be и, wouldn't it? Hrm...

Ok, nevermind. It is y as in Nikolay. Pronounced with a Russian accent, of course.
