ЗУУУУУУМ! ВУУШ!
Feb. 8th, 2005 03:46 amI was trying to think of how to explain something to one of my friends, but I couldn't think of the right Russian word to go with it. Is there a Russian version of "onomatopoeia", or more specifically, "onomateopoetic"?
Or rather, I'm sure there is a Russian version, that was just my odd Southernly-polite way of asking for it.

You can use звукоподражание or звукоподражательное слово
I used "Lingvo" - a popular electronic dictionary.
