Ok, maybe I can request something a little more general and get some help?

I am hoping to get a hockey jersey from a Latvian team, perferably a team from the city of Riga. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I would suggest google. Latvia is not really a part of Russia, despite the huge russian minority there. though maybe there's a latvian russian here, who knows.

It's not a part of Russia at all :)

It has been a part of Russian Empire from 18th century until 1917, and then a part of the Soviet Union from 1940 to 1991, though.

It's almost not a minority from what I understand. My girlfriend is from Latvia, she is very much Russian though. She was raised speaking Russian with Russian culture and the like. I know it's not part of Russia, but it was part of the Soviet Union.

dude, it ain't a sports community and your request is sooo out of place here. I do understand that anything beyond the long-dead Iron Curtain is Russia to the majority of non-Europeans, but Latvia (as much as I love this country) tries to not have anything in common with Russia or Russian-speakers, so look for it elsewhere...

Ouch.. I hate to get slammed from an honest question. There are Russians and Russian-speaking people in Latvia. In fact I'm dating a girl that lived there most her life. I figured that this community might have some people who might want to help me. I didn't post a huge "Friend's list expanding post from hell." I wasn't looking to get blasted. The people who answered me prior to you were helping, understanding, and even helped me a bit more than they realize. You, I thank for being a jerk. You have yourself a nice day.
