Hi guys! One of my favourite ways to keep myself immersed in the Russian language and getting used to the sound of it is by listening to Русское Радио online. Because song lyrics are generally sung much more slowly than usual rapid-fire Russian conversation, I can understand much more of the lyrics.

I'd like to make sure I'm actually understanding them correctly, though... does anyone know of any good Russian song lyrics sites? Just general popular songs. In particular right now I'm searching for the lyrics to "Притяженья больше нет", but I'd be happy for any major songs right now. I remember everyone being crazy about "Шоколадный Зайц" when I was in Moscow last summer, which was how I learned the verb "to melt" ;)

There's another song I've been trying to find out the artist of, but I don't know the song's title or anything... about all I can make out if it is the phrase "опыть весна"... It got a lot of play on Русское Радио a few months but I never caught the name. If you know what song this is I'd really appreciate the help.

P.S. Песны is actually spelled as Песни
Good Luck!

Thank you SO much! I just got back from St. Petersburg and it's been a rough transition. Listening to Русское Радио makes me feel like I'm not so far away.

If you need to find something on Russian internet we have searches like google: yandex.ru, rambler.ru, aport.ru

ROFL! Шоколадный Зайц...

I visited Moscow for the first time in a long, long while about a year ago, and when a car drove us to the airport (we ordered one), this song came on the radio, and I was just thinking "wtf?"

Заяц (a hare), not зайц. Not that I am a huge fan of this song (and of silly Russian pops in general,) but we're speaking Russian language here :))

Hmm... Every time I listen "Дольче вита" I do remember "Friday I'm in love" somehow.

Oh! This is a very good way to enrich your lexical baggage. I myself have learnt a lot of english words listening to the songs. Now I remember many lyrics by Beatles, Deep Purple and almost the whole 'Jesus Christ Superstar' opera.
However, Русское радио represents relatively low artistic level of the music.
If you're interested in a little more, say, 'intellectual' music, I can suggest you downloading songs from zvuki.ru. What bands to pay attention to depends on what kind of music you like.
Ask for advice, I'll help.

Not that this artistic level is the lowest (Radio Chanson and Radio Pop-Sa represent a much worst level - what is called "ниже плинтуса", literally - lower than the plinth, i.e. lower than the floor itself,) but I would not recommend Русское Радио for language learning purposes :))

"опять весна"

maybe u heard the song Дельфин - "Весна" ?

Дельфин is just beatiful. A bit terroristic, but beatiful.

I would suggest that you fild "Cosmos Sound Club", disc "Remixed & Remaked". On of their tracks, "Les Chrysanthemes", even appeared on "Hotel Costes Etage 3" by Stephane Pompougnac. The tracks are the remixes of wonderful Russian romances. To tell you the truth - by listening to Russian Radio you can only pervert the true Russian culture.

"Шоколадный заяц"?

BTW, melody is plagiarized from In-Grid "Tu es foutu".

There is DJ mix "Ну, шоколадный - погоди" in the net: two songs together - sounds VERY impressive. Just look for it in yandex.ru (most popular russian search site).
