Hi, i'm new!

Hi, I joined this community about a week or so ago, and I wanted to introduce myself! My name is Nick and I live in Los Angeles. My girlfriend is Russian, and I have been trying to learn Russian every since we began dating (over 4 years ago!). Nothing helped as much as having taken a class at a local college, and now I'm very familiar with the basics (basic grammar, verb endings, words, even bad words... which I didn't learn in school!). I'm unable to take anymore classes at the moment, so I thought I could learn some more by joining this community. I'm also considering buying the full Rosetta Stone Russian course... what do you think?

I think, you have a great opportunity to study Russian, because you have a Russian girlfriend. I'm Russian, but I love reading something from this community. It's very interesting for me to watch people learn my native language. It helps me in understanding different aspects of this process...
